Twin sisters Vasanthini and Dharshini Perumal left careers in finance at firms including JP Morgan and EY to launch Karapincha in 2018, drawing on their late mother's recipes and the family vegetarian restaurant their parents ran in Colombo. Named for the curry leaf central to Sri Lankan cooking, the menu spans freshly made kothu roti, egg hoppers and paratha with rich vegan curry.
