Juliet Noble and Martin Orbach began making sheep's milk ice cream on their farm on the Herefordshire-Wales border in 1987, and Shepherds remains one of the benchmarks for British farmhouse ice cream. The operation is now run by the second generation, Connie Orbach and Jessie Fleck, across three hand-painted vans, a trailer and a pop-up parlour.
