Ross Mundy and Matt Mitchell were two vegans who, unable to face another bean burger, created the UK's first vegan hog roast in 2018, working with an award-winning chef to produce a plant-based protein with the smoky pull and apple sauce of the original, served in a toasted vegan brioche with vegan crackling. They won the British Takeaway Awards for Best Vegan Menu in 2023 and the Uber Eats Trailblazer Award in 2025.
